IRSAIS 2005: Information for presenters

Presentation of Completed Manuscripts

The amount of time on the program allocated to completed manuscripts is one hour. The author(s) will have approximately 20 minutes to present the paper, the discussant will have 20 minutes to formally discuss the manuscript, the author will have up to 5 minutes to rebut the discussant’s comments, and the audience will have 15 minutes to ask questions and provide constructive feedback.

Presentation of Research-in-Progress Manuscripts

The amount of time on the program allocated to in-progress manuscripts is 30 minutes. The author will have 15 minutes to present the paper and the audience will have 15 minutes to ask questions and provide constructive feedback. Since the primary purpose of the in-progress presentation is to help the author improve the paper and successfully reach publication, the author is encouraged to pose questions to the audience regarding the areas most in need of feedback and direction. The moderator will offer constructive feedback to the author(s) and guide the direction of the audience participation.

A projector and laptop will be available for use with power point slides. Please bring your slides on a USB drive.
